        Carriera, Domenick age 79 of Stillwater, NJ died suddenly Monday morning June 6,  2016 at the Newton Medical Center. Born in Newton, Domenick was a lifelong resident of Stillwater and Hampton Twp., NJ. 

        Loving son of the late Joseph and Jenny (Lorenzo) Carriera, he was a graduate of the Newton High School class of 1955. Drafted into the United States Army in 1960, Domenick  proudly served as an Aircraft Mechanic during the post Korean War era. He began his career working for the former Stamato Industries of Andover Twp. He later became Co-Founder    and Co-Owner of C&V Paving Stillwater, NJ in 1969 where he worked diligently until his retirement in 2014. 

        A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend of many,        Domenick was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. A life member of the Branchville                 Businessman's Club, he also enjoyed dining out, a good glass of wine as well as his many      trips to the casinos. 

         Mr. Carriera was pre deceased by his beloved wife Iris L. (Elston) Carriera in 2012,   his sister Nicoletta Jamieson as well as his brother Frank Carriera Sr. Survivors include his    son Joseph and his wife Laura Carriera of Stillwater, his daughters Debra and her husband  Greg Peil of Hampton Twp., and Marie Carriera and her husband William Schmidt III of     Stillwater. Also surviving are his grandchildren Lindsay and Nicholas Carriera, Gregory Peil and Domenick Batty, his sisters Ann (husband John) Lloyd and Marie (husband William)    Butler all of Frankford Twp. as well as his cherished pet boxer Molly.  

        Funeral services will be held Friday June 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Iliff-Ruggiero    Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. Interment will follow in the Stillwater    Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the funeral home Thursday June 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association www.diabetes.org   On-line condolences to www.iliff-ruggierofuneralhome.com
