Andreano, Alfred

           Andreano, Alfred A. age 83 of Montague, NJ died peacefully with his loving family at his side Thursday December 3, 2015 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice Home Fredon, NJ following a brief illness. Born and raised in Bellville he had lived in East Hanover for thirty years before moving to Montague seventeen years ago.

             Son of the late Cresenzo and Senfrosa (Anzivino) Andreano, Alfred was a graduate of the Newark Vocational Technical School class of 1950. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Alfred worked many years as a Tractor Trailer Driver for International Playtex Corp. A devout and active parishioner of the Immaculate Conception of St. Mary’s RC Church Port Jervis, NY; Sir Knight Alfred was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 6504 East Hanover, NJ.

             Mr. Andreano was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a talented craftsman and woodworker who enjoyed working on his home and property. A compassionate and gentle man, Alfred will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

             Survivors include his beloved wife of fifty seven years Helen (Cifelli), his loving daughters Marie and her husband John Ricciardelli and Victoria and her husband Eric Sullivan, his cherished grandchildren Nicole Marie, Danielle Victoria and Emma Mae as well as his sister Jennie Bisignano.   

              A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday December 7, 2015 at 10 AM in the Immaculate Conception of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church #46 Ball St. Port Jervis, NY. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery Ridgedale Ave. East Hanover, NJ. Visitation will be held Sunday December 6th from 2-5 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home 156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, New Jersey. In lieu of flowers memorials in Alfred’s memory may be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice #99 Sparta Ave. Newton, NJ www.karenannquinlanhospice.org
