Joanna was a much loved lady for her kindness, and gracious manner. She always put in that extra effort into her positions as Mckeown School aide and school secretary, and that was most appreciated by all the staff, parents and students, who had the pleasure of working with her. Her lovely smile and warm and friendly manner will be missed by all who came in contact with her, and were fortunate enough to call her a friend. Her husband and family meant the world to her. She truly will be missed by not only her family, but the rest of us as well. Thinking of her family at this difficult time.Yours sincerely, Bob and Deborah Gewecke

Though time and miles had passed between us, my enduring admiration of and love for Aunt JoAnna never ceased. She was one in a million ... a beautiful person in so many ways. She had a genuine affection and appreciation for children which she shared with each of us, and our kids, through the years. Smart, funny and deeply caring, it was always a pleasure to be around Aunt JoAnna. Her presence in this world truly made it a better place. She was an inspiration to me, and I will forever cherish every moment and memory with all my heart. My sincere sympathies to Uncle Angelo, Mark and Gary, and their families. My thoughts and prayers are with you now and always. With love, and a heavy heart ...

I worked with Joanna for two decades and both admired and liked her. One can admire some people but not like them, or like some people but not admire them. She easily earned both accolades. On the job she was consistently in charge, was the most pleasant person ever, and never produced less than excellent work. One could depend upon her completely. Our staff loved and appreciated her‚??and so did her family. I have only praise for Joanna, and can point to her positive spirit, patience and bountiful appreciation for life. She did not waste a minute on self-pity or regrets. She was an example to us all of how to live a life with grace. May I say that her funeral mass was the single most beautiful, heartfelt service I have ever attended. I am grateful to her priest, the cantor and Joanna‚??s family. She was an exceptional woman.
