Bush, Dolores D.

Bush, Dolores D. age 90 of Newton died Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon, NJ. Born in Scranton, PA, she had lived many years in Oakland and Little Egg Harbor, NJ before moving to Newton in 2006.

Daughter of the late Frederick and Matilda (Chermak) Schuster, Dolores was a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII.  A member of the Newton and Little Egg Harbor Senior Citizens Clubs, she was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 369 Oakland, NJ.  She enjoyed Monday Seniors swimming at the YMCA and was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program.   

A parishioner of the St. Joseph RC Church Newton, Dolores is pre deceased by her loving husband Edmund J. Bush,Sr. in 2009 and her sister Mildred Judge in 2013. Survivors include her sons Edmund J. Jr. of Frankford Twp., Stephen F. of Paramus and Donald L. of Jefferson. Also surviving are her eight grandchildren Nicole Perry, Amanda, Timothy, Danielle, Eric, Evan, Lucas, and Brady Bush, as well as many nieces and nephews.      

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM Monday, February 23rd, 2015 in the St. Joseph RC Church Newton, NJ. Interment will follow in the Brig. General Wm. Doyle VA Cemetery Wrightstown, NJ. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 22nd, 2015 from 4PM to 7PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main Street (Route 206) Newton, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Aunt Dolores was always a ray of sunshine, wherever she went. She loved her family and would just light up when speaking about her grandchildren. We loved her dearly and will miss her so much! Our sympathy and love to all her family. Love, Peter and Diane
