Koerber, John C.

Koerber, John C. age 88 of Hampton Twp., NJ died Monday December 30, 2013 at the Newton Medial Center. Born n South Orange, NJ he had lived most of his life in Newark, NJ. John and his family had spent summers in Hampton Twp. before moving there full time in 1994.Son of the late John C. and Louise (Bauer) Koerber, he was a graduate of the Columbia High School Maplewood, NJ class of 1942. John proudly served in the US Army during WWII and Korea. He had worked many years for PSE&G Clifton and Irvington, retiring in 1994 as a Relay Mechanic. John was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Pre deceased by his beloved wife Joan C. (Donahue) Koerber in 2011, John is survived by his son John C. and his wife Karen Koerber of Hampton Twp., his daughter Joanne C. and her husband Adam Ashton of Blairstown, as well as his grandchildren Jessica and Jeremy Koerber, CJ and Alexis Rose Ashton as well as his great grandchild Riley Alexis Tasiopoulos. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a favorite US Veterans Charity of choice.

Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home 156 Main St. Newton, NJ is announcing that due to the pending storm, the family of Mr. John C. Koerber has decided to reschedule the viewing and funeral services from this evening to Saturday Jan. 4th, 2014.
