Gould, Kenneth A. Sr.

Gould. Kenneth A. Sr. age 83 of Branchville, NJ died peacefully with his loving family by his side Tuesday January 19th, 2016 at his daughters’ home in Mansfield, NJ. Born in Franklin, NJ he grew up in Augusta and had lived in Green Twp., and Newton for many years before moving to Branchville twenty years ago.

Son of the late Matthew and Alice (Clock) Gould, Kenneth had served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed by the Piccatinny Arsenal Dover, NJ for over forty years until his retirement in 2002. Mr. Gould was a member and former Commander of the Newton VFW Post 5360. A devout member of the Christ Episcopal Church Newton, Kenneth was also very proud of his thirty years of sobriety. A loving and devoted father, grandfather and brother, he enjoyed spending time at the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show with his family each and every year. He also enjoyed long walks, collecting coins and old John Wayne movies. He truly will be missed.

                Mr. Gould was pre deceased by a brother Ab Gould, a sister Lorraine Kuback as well as a niece Carol Jean Kuback. He is survived by his son Kenneth A. Jr., his daughters Sally and her husband John Reade and Tina M. Gould all of Hackettstown. Also surviving are his grandchildren Adam M. Arias and Matthew Blank as well as his great grandson Connor M. Arias, his niece Debbie Eisbacher and his nephew Joe Kuback. 

    A Funeral Mass will be held Friday January 22, 2016 at 10 AM in the Christ Episcopal Church #62 Main St. Newton, NJ. Visitation will be held Thursday January 21. 2016 from 7-9 PM with VFW and US Army services at 8 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ 07860. In lieu of flowers memorials in Kenneth’s memory may be made to either the Christ Episcopal Church or the Newton VFW #85 Mill St. Newton, NJ.
